[Delphine] Visiting David in Chicago

Dear everyone, Miami writing!

These past few weeks have been intense and there are some stories to share.
From May 24th to 27th, I visited my dear David up there in the windy city. To be honest, it has not actually been so windy but it was really cold. Ok, as compared to Miami, pretty much every city is cold. My sandals and I had a pretty bad time, especially at night. Apart from that, everything has been absolutely great!

On Friday night, my plane was one hour delayed but I finally made it and got to David's place at about (I think) 11-11:30pm. We decided to go out and had a drink in a bar / restaurant really close to his place. Talking about his place, let me mention how big the house he's living in is!! 3 floors, 2 huge living-rooms, I can't count how many bathrooms and bedrooms. That's a big change from NYC, lucky you! Once in the bedroom, a little iPad time and then,, we fly to Sweetdreams Land.

On Saturday, we took the subway to dowtown  Chicago.

Chicago's faces

Time to take many pictures at the Bean, admire the skyline Under a white sky and enjoy the fake rain created by the fountains and Chicago's faces and we move towards a lovely building hidden between many others. This looks actually like an art school. Once Inside, we hear piano rehearsals or singing voices through the walls. The atmosphere is musical. Listening to David's singing training with a Professional singer for 45 minutes both reminded us of Musical's rehearsals. Nostalgia, welcome to the room...

Saturday night was the time for a drink or two in a bar, time also to meet David's friends. One restaurant, one bar and two clubs later, we decide it is time to go home and fine some sleep.

On Sunday, David, Sam and I went to a navy peer and to a rooftop bar with a wonderful view. You can judge yourself!

Monday was my last day and I spent it all with David. It was a national bank Holiday, Mémorial Day. Just for the history of this day off, it is offered to American worker in order to commemorate all Americans who died in wars, defending the USA, and it is also the day for all people in the army, policemen, officers etc...

All in all, a wonderful weekend with my very good friend. Thanks Dav, time to go home :)

You will learn a lot more very soon!
xoxo, D.
